The Rev. Horace Tipton
Rector
The Very Rev’d Horace Tipton has served as rector of Trinity in the Fields since 2016. Prior to coming to Trinity, Horace and his wife Anne and their children Horace, Jr. and Mary Shea were missionaries to the Anglican Church of Kenya where they lived from 2005 to 2012. He and Anne founded Planting Faith Ministries in 2004, and Horace served as its executive director while serving in Kenya. Its mission was to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ by working with subsistence farmers in Africa.
Horace attended seminary in Kenya at St. Paul’s University (founded by the Church Missionary Society in 1905) in Limuru, Kenya. Although he has served overseas, Horace was raised nearby, as he used to farm in Mississippi County, Arkansas and on Centennial Island, Tennessee. Horace and Anne have two grown children, Horace, Jr. and Mary Shea. He also serves as the dean of the Memphis Area Deanery for the Anglican Diocese of the South.
Dan Omar

Dan is a native of Marsabit, Kenya. He received his B.A. in Christian Education from Reformed Theological College in Kampala, Uganda and his Master of Arts and Religion and Master of Divinity from Trinity School for Ministry (TSM) in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where he met his wife Cesiah. They have one daughter, Lily. Dan says, “My conviction of faith drives my passion for ministry. I love seeing people encounter Christ at a deeper level.”
Kelly Pouncey
Children’s Church Coordinator
Kelly serves as our Children’s Church coordinator. She has taught many classes for both children and adults at Trinity in the Fields and has served as the children’s coordinator for Community Bible Study in West Memphis, Arkansas. She also currently serves as secretary for the vestry of our church.
